Nevada’s Eight District Court Dismissed a Poker Lawsuit
Posted by TitanPokerBonusCodes in Poker NewsBrandon McSmith claimed ownership of the idea of “Face the Ace”, a NBC poker game show. He filled a lawsuit but unfortunately it was dismissed by the Eighth District Court in Nevada.
The next step for McSmith is to appeal or forward his complain to the federal court. It is frustrating in the part of McSmith to hear the decision however, he is still optimistic the appeal will be successful. McSmith did not state a claim and it was the basis of the judge to dismiss his appeal.
McSmith complained that Judge Michelle Leavitt is not open to the evidences that are showed to her. Though he is not trying to think negatively, he feels it has been taken against him. McSmith of thinking of appealing in the federal court at the same time, seeking help from the NBI. If this happens, it will take more time because the NBI will still need to conduct their own investigation.
The NB the involvement fell the involvement in the case filed by McSmith and speculations came out that Arlo Devlin-Brown is interested in the case that stem from the involvement of Full Tilt Poker which “Face the Ace”. It was Phil Ivey who became the first pro challenger in that series.
