During the night at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, hearing tsunami warning swept all the poker players in the tournament. Everyone became sad thinking that thousands of people are suffering from calamity. Casualty in Haiti has already reached into six figures.

Photographs that became head turning and bits of bad news begun to appear in the media show a massive disaster has fallen to Haiti. Due to this bad news, poker community has step up on its own by offering financial assistance to all the victims of the Haitan capital city of Port-au-Prince.

Calvin Ayre, founder of Bodog has issued a personal challenge to the only gaming industry as stated in his website. He mentioned in his blogs that his foundation will make an inital donation of £10,000 to a charitable organization that deals with natural disaster known as the U.K.- based Oxfam.

PokerStars starts their charity efforts through its online poker clients. Players can now contribute through their website by visiting their website and following these simple steps. They should click the Menu in the PokerStars, and then choose Requests and then Transfer Funds. All the funds sent through this will go directly to the Haiti Funds.

Another way to contribute is to enter one of the place-tournaments called the “Haiti Earthquake Relief” that is located under the Tourney, and then choose Special. It is not considered to be an actual tournaments but simple dummy lobbies where players can donate and display their support to all victims of disasters. Buy-ins range from $1 to $1,000 in this tournament.
