Last week the World Poker Tour (WPT) announced that they have added a second France stop to the 9th season for the year 2010-2011. The WPT Amneville will going to start on 30th of October and will be staged at the Casino Municipal D’Amneville, with the total of €3,200 + €300 for the Main Event that run between the 2nd of November up to the 6th.

The said event will be joining the Grand Prix de Paris on its ninth season as it stops in France. The WPT Grand Prix de Paris will take its flight at the prestigious Aviation Club in Paris. As the tournament continues the lucky winner of WPT Amneville will take home a WPT bracelet and a total of $25,000 seat in the WPT Championship that will be held at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.

Currently, the 2010 WPT Championship is heating up the table and will begin on April 24th. Only 35 players out of 195 will remain at four tables after three days. Leading with 1,841,000 chips is Shawn “Buck21? Buchanan, champion of the WPT Mandalay Bay Poker Championship in 2007, his tough competitors were Heather Sue Mercer (1,364,000), Robert Cooper (937,000), Matt “All In At 420? Stout (919,500), and Billy Baxter (887,500). The game will resume at the Noon Pacific Time as poker players gather down to take home $1,530,537 as the first prize.
