A calling station is the best friend of all friends in poker. They are the reality of dreams for an excellent poker player. They are very friendly and will literally hand out their money to their opponents easily.

This sort is kind of sensitive to money, they are eager to spend a lot of their own. If you don’t know any kind of poker profiles you might think that a calling station is losing their money deliberately.

Selectivity & Aggression

The name says it quiet literally: Calling Station. They are willing to play every kind of hand but they are now aggressive players unless they have the nuts at hand. But some of them even check an excellent hand depending if they like the players following them. They also wanted a very sociable atmosphere in the table and will not do anything that will make it bad.

They are also very positive; they wanted to see potential and never want to see the outcomes of their actions. Most of them only want to play for fun and money is not their main priority and think of it as entertaining way of spending their money.

Having a good game at poker means a very good money spending activity for them.

Predictability

This lot is very predictable during the game. They may do some unconventional moves at times but they often do that for the benefit of the other players.

Poker IQ

Stations have zip poker IQ. They are not dumb or inexperience they just don’t mind the results of the game. They share the thought that poker is boring and they just want to be happy. Being a winner is not the first thing on their mind.

They just play their cards, see re-raising and betting as one and assume that a gut shot is an excellent draw.

Having a calling station at your table is one perfect affair. But keep in mind, that a number of this kind of poker personality at one table at once is not an ideal set up of a game.

Adjustments
